- The Amateur Geological Society of the Hunter Valley (AGSHV) is made up of people who live in the Hunter Valley of NSW Australia that have a broad range of interests and expertise in Geology.
- The AGSHV is a non-profit organisation supporting the community of all ages by providing a society catering to people with shared interests in Geology, Photography, History, Bushwalking and Travel.
- The AGSHV freely passes on its knowledge to community members who are interested in understanding geology and the environment around them along with the importance of its
preservation.
- The Society promotes teamwork and a strong social bond amongst its members by the shared participation in its various activities.
- Most activities are for one day (Hunter Valley) but activities held some distance away may range from two days to several weeks. eg Tasmania trip of 3 weeks.
- Membership is open to people of all ages.

- All members receive a Monthly Notices.
- At the end of the year reports on our activities are compiled into
'Geo-Log' and a hard copy distributed to members who request one. Past Geo-Logs can be accessed on our website.
- You will also find details of upcoming
activities you may like to participate in. Visitors are most welcome to attend our activities.
